Food: Lunch Buffet at La Terrasse Restaurant

So I am back with another food review! This time a lunch Buffet at La Terrasse Restaurant in Gloria Hotel.

One thing that I love about my new work is the chance to bond with everyone during lunch time. We make it a point to eat together. We usually have our own pack lunch, order take outs or dine out.

Last Tuesday we were treated for lunch by our VP to celebrate the good news, She got her PhD! Isn't that amazing? Such an inspiring lady, and one of the nicest person I know.

Since we already tried the lunch buffet in Holiday Inn Express, we went to Gloria Hotel for a change.

The entrance to the restaurant.

The dining area

Dessert
and more desserts
Main course
(there was another table for the main course at the side but forgot to take picture as I was too hungry =P)

The food selections are okay, not too much and not too little. There's Indian, Thai, Arabic and a lot more to choose from.

Quality of foods are good and you'll definitely get your money's worth.
The servers are attentive and polite.
Good ambiance, there's also an al fresco area for those who wants to smoke or just want to eat outside.
Priced at AED 120 per person.
Over all the experience was quite pleasant, we enjoyed lunch and we were so full after.

My plate

For my starter
For my starter i chose mashed potato with bacon, a little salad with fish fillet and thousand island dressing and bread and butter.

Main Course
For my main course I had:
Cauliflower truffle soup - It's good and filling. The truffle flavor is barely there though.
White rice - I think it's basmati rice which I am not so fond of. I will still choose jasmine rice any day.
Roasted potatoes - I liked this, cooked just the way I like it.
Baked cheese and cream pasta - a little bland for my taste but the abundance of cheese makes up for it.
Roasted tenderloin with gravy - To be honest I didn't quite enjoy it because it was on the dry side and I like my steak medium. But in fairness the meat is tender and it's not hard to eat.

I skipped on chicken masala and the seafood thai err I dont know what it was called as I am not a big fan of spicy foods.

There was also huge lamb chops and chicken shawarma and some other Indian foods.

My overflowing dessert plate
And if my main course plate isn't full I make it up with the desserts.

Strawberry or is it cherry panna cotta - Not too sweet which I like. This one's a winner for me!
Chocolate Mousse - it's okay, tastes like your usual chocolate mousse.
Profiteroles - didn't enjoy it much, it lacks flavor for me.
Nut tart - This one I also like, it's small but packed with flavors.
Cheese cake - This is good too.
Creme brulee - it just tasted like gelatin for me.
Frozen yogurt - Oh their frozen yogurt is so good! Everyone got a cup or 2. And nope no guilty feeling after. I wasn't able to take a picture though. There's mango, strawberry, cherry, blueberry and apple compote as toppings.

As much as I would like to try all the other cakes I only have one stomach =P We were really full and sleepy after haha. Thet had coffee and tea after and I opted for fresh orange juice.

So yeah if you'll drop by Dubai Internet City go and have lunch at Gloria Hotel 8th floor. It is just beside the metro station so you wouldn't miss it.
